ANTIQUE BENT WICKER PORCH DOLLHOUSE FURNITURE JAPAN

All the pieces are marked in black block print on the bottom "Japan."  Considering their age and fragility they are in remarkable condition.  I think whoever originally owned them didn't play with them much.  The chairs and settee have padding under the fabric which you can feel if you press down lightly on them.  The bent wicker pattern is lovely and looks to be hand crafted. 

Measuring as follows,

chairs are 2 1/2 inches tall, 1 3/4 across

settee is 2 1/4 inches tall, 3 1/2 inches across

center table is 2 inches tall, 2 1/2 inches across.

As you can tell from the photos, the arched wicker chair tops, and arms were each made from one tiny thin piece of wicker carefully bent.  There are tiny little nails which hold the wicker in place.  It is amazing the nails didn't split the wicker.  The settee is made the same way as is the table.  Note the tiny little shelf on the bottom of the table which is double banded. 

This set would look wonderful in a sun room, porch, or even as a living room set.  The Tootsie Toy rare flocked table lamp is not included in this auction.   It is listed in another auction.
