Wonderful circa 1960's Reuge Music Box from Switzerland! It has a plain wood case and a shallow compartment in the top, instead of glass ~ possibly for cigarettes? - or for rings and other treasures. This music box is marked 4/50 which I have read means "4 songs - 50 teeth". It plays The Sound of Music, Do-Re-Mi, Edelweiss, and Climb Ev'ry Mountain. The sound is truly lovely, with a fine resonance!

The wood case has crazing to the clear finish and a few scratches and small dings consistent with age/use. But overall it is in nice vintage condition. It is approx. 4 1/8" X 7 5/8"X 3" tall.

It will make a very nice addition to a music box collection!

I do not add any handling fees; I try to charge you what the Post Office is going to charge me. I will be happy to combine purchases for the best shipping cost.

Washington State residents pay sales tax. Payment is due within 5 days of auction end.

 Q: regarding the reuge music box. Is it just a card showing the 4 songs or is it glued to the box ? most have been glued to the top of the lid.
A: Hi, it is a label, and it looks like it wasn't glued on, but hard to tell; it may have just fallen off. It has what looks like an adhesive on the back. Thanks for your inquiry!
