PUEBLO EAGLE INDIAN DANCE NEW MEXICO 1941 LINEN POSTCARD
Printing on the back of the postcard reads:
"There is no more charming dance among the Pueblo Indians and probably not among whites than the Eagle Dance. The dancers are gotten up to represent Eagles, bodies painted black feathers on the arms to represent wings, a cap of downy white on the head, with a yellow beak, and even the eagles' tails are represented. Accompanied by drums and a slow chant by the singers, the Eagles portray the sacred birds rising from the ground flying and soaring."
