Antiques Reference Book: The Furniture of Old Ontario

The Furniture of Old Ontario, by Philip Shackleton. 1973 (stated First Edition), Macmillan of Canada, Toronto. 12¼" x 9¼", 399 pages, hardback, with dust jacket. Book is in good condition, with light wear and small tears to the dust jacket, a brief inscription, and a very clean inside. 562 illustrations in black-and-white. Book contains wonderful examples of furniture made in Ontario from the earliest of settlements to 1860. Each piece is described in great detail, including types of wood used, the original finish and much more. A valuable reference guide for collectors and all those interested in the heritage of craftsmanship from Ontario.
