Heljan OO Gauge Class 33 Diesel Locomotive 33012 Used

Heljan OO Gauge Class 33 Diesel Locomotive 33012 (DCC Ready) : Used Condition.

This Heljan Class 33 diesel locomotive 33012 is boxed but in a used condition.

It is in BR blue livery with a light grey roof, black window surrounds and full yellow ends.

This was, I believe, the only loco in this class to have this particular livery applied to it.

I acquired this model second hand with the intention of converting it to DCC and running it on our layout, even though I knew its transmission bars were broken / missing and that it had one buffer missing.

Having converted her, using a Howes sound decoder, we then ran her on the layout, as can be seen from the attached video, and she ran very well too - and sounded great!

However, I recently purchased another Class 33 and this new one has been fitted with the decoder and speaker that was originally fitted to 33012 meaning the original loco is now surplus to requirements.

So, to recap, this loco now operates on DC but is DCC ready!

As I have already mentioned she does have a couple of problems, namely:

Some of the light transmission bars are broken or missing - please see bottom photograph.

One of the buffers is missing.

She is, therefore, in definite need of some minor repairs, hence the low starting price, however, she does run very smoothly indeed.

She comes boxed and I think I still have the instructions and the sheet of head code numbers although all of the other accessories that usually come with these Heljan locos are missing - sorry.

The Catalogue Nº is: 3314 and the loco is now discontinued by Heljan.
