Children will be encouraged to use the potty as they play with and care for soft, plush, poseable Elmo.  Squeeze Elmo's hand and he asks for a drink. Give him his sippy cup. When he’s done drinking, he’ll ask to go to the potty.  Elmo sings a cute reward song when he uses the potty, and an encouraging song when he doesn't make it in time!

Elmo says various things including "Elmo's thirsty, Elmo needs his drink" when your child puts the sippy cup to Elmo's mouth plus he makes drinking sounds.  He may also say "Elmo's gotta go potty" when you sit him on the potty chair. He then says various things plus making a tinkling sound and "oops Elmo didn't get to the potty" or "Elmo went to the potty".  Then he sings a little song.  He does not move on his own, just talks.  ON/OFF switch located inside velcro enclosure on Elmo's back.

NOTE:  Elmo only comes with a potty and removable training pants.  Originally he came with a small book and sippy cup.  You can add your own sippy cup - when the cup is inserted in his mouth, the pressure applied by the cup to the bottom of his mouth enables him to make a gulping sound like he is drinking.
