1964 Aluminia Kari Christensen Dish Tray 17 Cm 429/2883


















A stunning matte finish art pottery square tray or dish designed by Kari Christensen for Aluminia and made in 1964. Textured glaze is intricate blues, purples, grays and black. Measures 17 cm x 17 cm (about 6 3/4" x 6 3/4"). 

The owners of the Aluminia factory purchased Royal Copenhagen in 1882. In 1969, they stopped using the Aluminia name and all wares are now sold under the name Royal Copenhagen Denmark Fajance. This piece has the Aluminia mark. It also has the numbers 429/2883 which indicate the pattern and style and the mark of the designer Kari Christensen.

The bowl is in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, repairs, or other damage. Some light staining on the bottom.

Wonderful mid-century modern Scandinavian style and workmanship. Offered with No Reserve.
