I owned a Brick and Mortar Antique Store in the 1990's. I have closed my store
and have sold on eBay for over 10 years. I have loved and collected antiques
for 33+ years, and love finding that item you need to decorate your home and/or
add to your collection.
I am a part-time ebayer and am not online all the time. Please know that I will
reply to any emailed questions, and always check emails a few hours before the
auctions end.
I am not an expert at everything sold, and I do not pretend to be. All items
are sold as-is described/photoed. I inspect them when I photo and take pictures
of damage found. I inspect again when I list, and attempt to disclose any known
flaws or imperfections. If you see something not described, please let me know.
The Description includes the pictures, so please check them out carefully in
case there is damage I missed.

post questions to the listing and you should check for new information

Spent a very cold and wet 10 days selling items at the 2009 Covered Bridge Festival
in Western Indiana. I love collectors though!!!, as they still came out in
droves and I enjoy meeting my customers as much as I enjoy hearing from them on
eBay.
Since the weather was "iffy" I decided to save my best items for my
eBay Holiday auctions. I know that the holidays seem far away, but I will not
sell past the 2nd week of December and I have LOTS of high quality items to
sell. I save my best items every year for my Holiday sales.
This week I am selling an eclectic assortment, several wonderful Art Deco Name
China pieces, will arrive in plenty of time for Thanksgiving! along with some
very unique items, suitable for gift giving. You never know what I might find
to sell, so make sure and check out my other auctions.
ITEM DESCRIPTION
This auction is for one of two coats that I am selling this week, both vintage, this one is the Men's Vintage leather coat, see picts. Please check my other auctions for a vintage Woman's Fur coat.
This coat is a high quality leather coat with the imperfections and textures found only in real leather. I have lots of picts so that you can see the handsome quality of this J. Crew leather coat. I have seen a similar coat called a car coat, probably because it fits a little longer and looser, so would be comfortable to wear when riding in a car. I have provided measurements below, so that you can decide 'what' kind of coat it is, and if it will fit you. This coat is well marked as a man's medium on the J. Crew label.
It measures approx. 31 1/2 inches measured from the bottom seam below the collar, to the bottom hem. Each sleeve, measured from the shoulder seam is approx. 25 inches long. It measures approx. 22 inches across the top shoulder seam.
The collar is approx. 3 inches, measured on the back to the top seam, but then there is another inch before the back seam hem, so collar in back is approx. 4 3/8 inches tall. This collar can be worn up or down, great body/shape to the coat collar, see picts.
Finally I measured across the back underneath the arms and it is approx. 24 1/2 inches across.
This coat has two front slit pockets and two inside pockets. One of the inside pockets zips closed.
This coat has a quilted cloth lining on the bottom and more of a cotton jersey lining on the top, see picts. It does not appear that it ever had any kind of a zip out lining.
This is a wearable coat, considered in good condition for it's age. It is not perfect though, and does show the minimal surface dirt/wear you would expect in a pre-owned vintaqge coat, see picts. You can see in the pictures what a great looking coat this is, and the wear is not considered significant.
This auction lot will weigh 7 pound, packed to ship, and will be shipped via UPS which includes insurance. It will be shipped from zip code 47869. The eBay shipping cost estimator does not seem to be working for packages going to the Western United States. I am told that my descriptions are too wordy, and that I describe minimal damage that should be expected in antique items. They are probably right, as this is an antique/vintage item(s) and wears it's age well. Please check the pictures though and make sure that I did not miss any minor flaw that you might notice. Also notice, in the pictures how wonderful this item is.

I normally use UPS Shipping, and zip code on file at ebay. UPS will not ship to a PO Box. Insurance (up to $100) is included in the UPS price. I will combine items, if possible, for shipping. I ship USPS International Priority Mail anywhere outside of the US. I cannot ship International First Class as it does not allow me to insure items and I am now required by eBay to insure all items.
