This is a printed cover proof for Captain America #213, published by Marvel Comics in September of 1977. It is a black and white proof of the cover art, with an amazing action image of Cap, the Falcon, the Night Flyer, and more! The proof is a long paper sheet, which measures approximately 10" by 17" (but please note that this is a printed proof, it is not the hand-drawn original artwork). This cover features a classic image by one of the greatest legends in the history of comics, Jack "King" Kirby, who is best-known for his work at Marvel in the 1960's, where together with Stan Lee he co-created the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, the Mighty Thor, the Incredible Hulk, the Silver Surfer, and many more classic characters and teams. But he is also of course the original co-creator (along with Joe Simon) of Captain America back in the 1940's at the start of the Golden Age of comics, so his Cap covers are some of his most coveted work. This is a very cool and rare piece of comic production art that you will hardly ever get a chance to see. With Kirby's original covers going for tens of thousands of dollars, here is a much more affordable way to get a classic Cap image. A great piece that would look fantastic framed.
