Industry reviews
The publisher is really pushing this story of a rookie secret service agent who's on the line when the senator she is assigned to protect is assassinated.
Adams

In this fast and furious but overly calculated thriller, a female Secret Service agent is set up to take the fall for the assassination of a powerful senator. As a child, little Holland Tylo endured a ``spray of blood'' from the body of her father, also a U.S. senator, when he was pierced by an assassin's bullets. This traumatic event, in Shelby's hands, is supposed to explain not only why Tylo grew up to become a Secret Service agent but also why she is so driven to find the killer of Senator Charles Westbourne, who is slain after insisting that Tylo, who's guarding him, let him have a little privacy. Primed to take the fall for Westbourne's death, Tylo turns out to be the unwitting owner of a computer disk that contains the dead man's smoking-gun evidence against powerful members of the government and the killer knows this, because Tylo is trusting the wrong people. But instead of turning into a cat-and-mouse game or a gritty procedural, the novel quickly comes to resemble only a fleshed-out screenplay, where the seen-it-before plot has Tylo framed for murder, branded as a rogue agent and sent into hiding from where, with the help of a few loyal friends, she attempts to clear her name, reveal the conspiracy and bring the killer and the guilty to justice. This is thriller-writing by the numbers a lot of drive and a lot of energy, but very little heart or feeling for devastating events, like the death of a lover; there are too many unflattering echoes of the movie In the Line of Fire, as well. If Shelby (Oasis of Dreams, 1992) set out to write a novel destined to become a soulless but action-filled movie blockbuster, he's succeeded. 250,000 first printing; film rights to Tri-Star; Simon & Schuster Audio. Here is a nice book in very good condition.  It looks like a first edition in 2004.  The DJ and the book are almost excellent...except for a crossed out rubber stamp on the top of the pages. Otherwise clean, tight and solid.  I could not find any other notable dings or marks. #330e9-000

When I ship books, I put them in bubble wrap and make a new book wrap out of cardboard. If it's going to Hawaii or Alaska, it'll be first or priority and usually cost more. Parcel post or media could take 6 weeks and that's not quick shipping.  I am quoting flat rate media to lower 48 on regular books. I have never had a problem with a book yet.

All buyers should contact me within 3 days and finalyze payment in 7 days.  E-Checks take 4 days to clear.  If I have multiple bidders and you don't contact me, I will offer it to the next bidder after 7 days.  If single bidder, I relist it after 8 days.   The Ebay policy on flat rate shipping is ok for common books but if you are waiting for a rare book you might want to pay extra for priority or at least $.75 for confirmation.  Otherwise, if you don't accept it somehow the PO discards it.  If the book is too big for flat rate I will advise you.

US ONLY. THIS MEANS US 50 STATES ONLY.  Do not bid if you are outside the US.  Also if you email me go to the EBAY site and Email me through them.  If it doesn't come into my Ebay account, I don't open them.
