Give your walls a nautical theme or simply a beautiful border with our Raised plaster rope border. Wall plastering with a stencil causes a raised design on the wall and if you can frost a cake, you can do this! It's so simple! Afraid it will be too permanent and you're scared of trying this fabulous new stenciling method? Don't worry! When you're sick of it, just scrape it off with a spatula! Comes off quite easily yet is as durable as any wall. This design is a two overlay that appears to "twist" like a rope. The double overlays give it detail and an especially high raised design. It measures 16" long by 2 1/4" . The plaster (joint compound) comes pre-mixed for you in the store and acts just like frosting. Just get some on a small trowel or putty knife and spread evenly over the top of the stencil, lift the stencil and there's the design! It's a cinch and a total ball! Either paint the color of your wall as a simple raised design or paint or tint with stencil cream paints. Color washes can also be done using acrylics. Stencil is laser cut of 14 mil, heavy mylar and comes with complete instructions and full color photo of the finished design. Design copyright Victoria Larsen 2002 all rights reserved.
