VERY LOW OPENING BID WITH NO RESERVE! For your consideration is a STERLING SILVER Franklin Mint 2.30 ounce PROOF MEDAL! The medal is dated 1973 and is part of the "Roberts Birds Collection". The medal measures 2" in diameter x 3/16" thick and is marked (impressed) on the rim edge with the "Franklin Mint" hallmarks and "Sterling". This medal is number 31 of the series. The dies were made from an original sculpture by GILROY ROBERTS and these medals were struck in a quantity limited to ONE PROOF-QUALITY SPECIMEN for EACH SUBSCRIBER...plus one specimen for Mr. Roberts personal collection and one for the Franklin Mint archives! The medal is in CAMEO PROOF condition, comes in the ORIGINAL plastic air-tite case IN the ORIGINAL BOX with the lucite DISPLAY STAND, all of the ORIGINAL PACKAGING along with the CERTIFICATE of AUTHENTICITY as issued by the Franklin Mint...see picture.
