Lenox Colonial Christmas Wreath Plate - South Carolina 1991




Lenox presents an Annual Limited Edition Colonial Christmas Wreath Plate for South Carolina, The Eleventh Colony. Each of the 13 Plates measures 10 1/2" with gold trim & exquisite graphics on a creamy ivory background. These are some of the most exquisite plates I have ever seen & would imagine they will become a most treasured collectible some day.


"Christmas 1991" is the Eleventh in a limited edition series of thirteen fine china plates depicting Christmas wreaths created with the materials that were cultivated in each of the thirteen original colonies.

The South Carolina Wreath commemorates it's vast appreciation of possibly the finest collection of the winter flowering Camellia japonica in existence in Charleston's Magnolia Gardens. The Pink Perfection camelia's dark, shiny leaves and delicate pink blooms entwined around Spanish moss make up this wreath. The camellias and moss native to the state help depict what a Christmas wreath in colonial South Carolina may have looked like.
