Lenox presents an Annual Limited Edition Colonial Christmas Wreath Plate for New York, The Ninth Colony. Each of the 13 Plates measures 10 1/2" with gold trim & exquisite graphics on a creamy ivory background. These are some of the most exquisite plates I have ever seen & would imagine they will become a most treasured collectible some day.
"Christmas 1989" is the ninth in a limited edition series of thirteen fine china plates depicting Christmas wreaths created with the materials that were cultivated in each of the thirteen original colonies.
The New York Wreath is handcrafted in the Flemish style and is briming with wild onions, beets, parsnips, grapes, pears, and apples, accented by grapes and blackberries on a bed of chestnut branches found in colonial New York.
