3 Star General WWII Motorcycle Saddle Bags 1944 Army(?)

Listed for your interest are vintage World War II motorcycle saddle bags.

This saddlebag has "U.S.A" painted on both flaps and each pouch has 3 stars painted on them. The inside flaps have "Midland Fabrics Co. 1944" printed on the top of them (one side more legible than the other). I'm thinking this was for a 3 star Army General but I don't know for sure. I figure someone with more military experience would know.

The material is a heavy, green canvas with plastic lining in the pouches. These WWII saddle bags definitely saw some action; straps on both sides of the pouches are either missing or not complete. The plastic lining is in great shape though; no tears and still supple. The handles on the top of each pouch are still intact with no damage. These WWII motorcyle saddle bags measure 15" across the front x 10" high with a span of 6" between the pouches (approximate size since it is hard to measure a limp saddlebag).

These vintage motorcycle saddle bags would fit nicely in a number of collections or for some ex-military person who loves to ride in the open air. I don't know what the protocol is for showing 3 stars if you don't actually wear the 3 stars so you will have to use your own military knowledge to know if these saddle bags would be acceptable for your own motorcycle or for a Commanding Officer to have in his collection.
