A couple days ago I listed a Busy Bee, Columbia Q, Edison Standard, Nippers, Vogue Pictue Recrods and other phonograph items. Tomorrow I will be listing some very nice 78's Please check them out ALL WITH NO RESERVE! ************************************* All grading is visual... I put each record under strong light and bounce light off it at different angles to try and give my best opinion as to the visual condition of the grooves of the record. When I have trouble deciding between two grades I give a minus or plus to the grade. Please read carefully as my system is not the same as others... M Mint ...I never call anything mint. (I am sure I could always find something under a microscope.) NM Near Mint ... Looks visually perfect to me. It is dark and shiny with no scratches.E Excellent ... Has just a few light scratches and shows little signs of wear.VG Very Good ... Is a record that has more than a few scratches and scuffs, but better than average.A Average .. .Obviously well played and noticeable graying in the groves.P Poor ...Many scratches and scuffs. Some deep scratches that a finger nail will "tick" across. C Crap ... GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING! *********************************************** SHIPPING, PACKING & INSURANCE for cylinder records: For cylinders that sell above $40.00 I usually pack in a 12X12X8 priority box for extra protection. These boxes, with one cylinder, usually weigh a little over a pound. Most cylinders that sell under $40.00 are packed in the smaller priority box 7x7x6 and they weigh under a pound. More than a pound costs more to ship than under a pound and since I usually start out with crazy low prices and hope for the best, I never know for sure what the exact final price will be... so... I just give my best guess when it comes to calculating the packing and insurance which ebay calls the handling fee, which shows up as one price under "Priority shipping cost" but is actually my best guess as to the cost of packing and insurance added to the shipping charge. I do not try and make money with this fee I just try and cover the cost of peanuts, tape & bubble wrap and what the Post Office charges me for shipping and insurance. You can pay from ebays automatic invoice if you are getting a single cylinder (sometimes I make a little & sometimes I loose a little on shipping/insurance/packing), but FOR MULTIPLE CYLINDER WINS: Once you know you will not be bidding on any more of my cylinders this weekend Please send me an email and request a total. I usually just add a dollar for each additional cylinder after the first one, but please wait for me to send you a new invoice with new total cost for multiple cylinder wins as the final total will have an effect on cost. ebays automatic invoice is usually way too high on multipe wins.
