They're  beautifully detailed and hand painted by fine Limoges artisans.  The highly detailed shell of mama turtle is the lid of the hinged box.  Baby can either hide as a surprise piece inside, or be placed alongside its mother. This is a wonderfully realistic nature piece, and has proven very popular among Limoges box collectors.

 

This brand new Limoges box is a unique work of art, crafted of world-famous Limoges porcelain.  It has been hand painted and hinged by master artists who follow a tradition that has continued in the Limoges region of France since the 18th Century.   Its authenticity is guaranteed by the decorating marks: Peint Main, Limoges France, and it is numbered in a limited edition of 750.  This Limoges box comes with a  gift box and certificate of authenticity.
