DOUBLE ACTING PNEUMATIC CYLINDERS PROVIDE GREATER CLAMPING FORCE
MORE RETURN STROKE POWER THAN SINGLE CYLINDERS
Compressed air applied to either of the two fittings on these double-acting cylinders drives the piston in the opposite direction and locks it in place at the end of its stroke:

  • Clamping force is a multiple of air pressure supplied to the cylinder: for the 1-1/16" cylinder, the multiple is 0.9; for the 2", it's 3.1; and for the 2-1/2", it's 5.0.
  • Cylinders are rated at 250 psi; flow controllers at 150 psi.

    1/4" polyethylene tubing offers excellent resistance to alkalis, petroleum products, greases, abrasion, fatigue and corrosion:
