Movie description
Set in feudal Japan's Heian Era, KAI DOH MARU begins as a young girl named Kintoki flees the Capital city of Kyo after her parents are murdered by her scheming uncle. Heading to the mountains, Kintoki settles in a village there and is renamed Kai Doh Maru by the locals. There she studies the martial arts and by seventeen has grown into a skilled samurai. However, when she falls in love with a man named Raiko, past and present collide in a vicious cycle of jealousy and violence.
