Update: This microphone is compatible with the new Windows 7 operating system (as well as previous Windows editions) and is Mac compatible (see details below This auction is for the mic only. Optional items are available.

This is the smallest, high-sensitivity, high gain USB microphone available, and is our most popular choice for court reporters, students, business people, voice recognition purposes, Skype communication, VOIP and Podcasting - anyone that needs to get high quality audio into a computer! Works with MacBook Air, which does not have a normal microphone input.

Note to Mac users: We now have Mac drivers available! See below.

Note: This microphone plugs into a USB port on a computer, not into the ELAN MIRA A3, FUSION STENTURA or other Stenographer machine. For mics that work with standard mic inputs, see our other items.

This is an all-in-one high quality USB microphone, capable of picking up all of the sounds in an entire room (range of 40-50 feet average). Its small size (smaller than a USB flash drive!) makes it perfect for situations where you don't want to draw attention to the fact that you are recording audio right into your computer. It also includes a headphone jack that offers real-time monitoring of the sound being recorded. It has high quality 5.1 virtual surround sound output for playback of stereo sources.

-Headphone monitor jack with independent controls so you can hear what you are recording. Also serves as the headphone output for other audio sources. (The real-time headphone monitor is not activated with a Mac). If you need headphones, see suggested accessories list.

-Microphone jack for an external microphone. If an external microphone is plugged in, the sound from the external mic is blended with the built-in microphone. Microphone must be compatible with computer mic inputs. If you need an external microphone with the same sound quality as the mic built in, this is an excellent choice.
