9 1/2" Ceramic Doll from Russia 1997 Traditional Outfit
















CERAMIC DOLL
MADE IN RUSSIA

My sister brought back this beautiful doll from her visit to Russia in 1997.
There is a sticker inside written in Russian.
She's in excellent condition--has hardly been out of her paper carton except for these pictures.

This lovely doll is about 9 1/2" tall and dressed in beautiful traditional garb.
The head and torso are of 1 piece of ceramic.  The forearms are separate pieces.  (The upper arms are "empty.")

The doll has an inner dress of gray and an elaborate outer gown with a brocade-like pattern, decorative trim, and fancy bodice with silver metallic thread.  The faux-fur trimmed hat is made of similar material with long metallic silver "earflaps."
