Other songs range from rock ("If I Ain't Got You") to folk ("Hard Promises To Keep"), but most don't stray away from the straight-ahead country-pop style of one of contemporary music's clearest voices. "The Nightingale," one of the most exquisite tracks on the album, shows the artistry of what an accomplished interpreter can create with a strong melody.
