Amy Grant, "Music Of The Spirit: A Choral Celebration Of Sacred Music Through The Ages Featuring Amy Grant" (A.G. Productions AGP 5194, 1994). Hard-to-find independently released CD!! In 1994, Saint John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota, awarded the 1994 Pax Christi Award to Amy Grant. This CD captures that evening's celebration, featuring sacred music from previous centuries as well as the modern era. In addition to the choirs and orchestras from the host schools, Amy Grant and guests Michael W. Smith and Gary Chapman are featured on several of the songs. Amy performs two songs she made popular, "El Shaddai" and "We Believe In God," as well as the hymns"Jesus, Joy Of Our Desiring," "Charity And Love," and "Pax Christi Hymn." The presentation of the award to Amy Grant, and her acceptance speech, are included. Gary Chapman plays guitar on "El Shaddai" and "We Believe In God," while Michael W. Smith plays piano on "Pax Christi Hymn." Although I do not have time to listen to every CD all the way through, I do listen to segments of each CD to make sure that it plays correctly. I do not sell CDs with serious scratches, and if there are any minor scratches that don't affect play, I will mention it at the end of the paragraph above.
