History of Perry County in Pennsylvania This is the first historical volume published dealing specifically with Perry County, PA. Section 1 covers the early settlement and development of the county, including some details about its towns and villages. Section 2 discusses Perry County's involvement in the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Mexican War and Civil War. Section 3 covers the Educational development of the county. Section 4 deals with geology, flora, and natural history. The final section, 5, details the outcome of votes for various public offices from 1820 - 1872. Text-search capability allows the user to scan the entire text of the publication for specific names or places and is a very useful tool for research.
