Description


ITEM:  Decorated Souvenir Title of the Vatican Pavilion from the 1964 New York World's Fair.   

SIZE:  6 by 6 Inches

COMMENTS: One of the Fair's most popular exhibits was the Vatican pavilion where Michelangelo's Pietà was displayed, and a small plaza marking the spot (and Pope Paul VI's visit) remains there. The tile has The Good Shepherd in the top left corner and Michaelangelo's Pieta in the top right corner. A very nice souvenir from the World's Fair.

CONDITION:  An extremely tiny chip to the top left corner. The felt backing is worn and rubbed. SEE PHOTOS
