Ernst Lubitsch's Comedy To Be or Not to Be, the 1942 Ernst Lubitsch World War II (WWII) military romantic anti-Nazi comedy ("original story by Ernst Lubitsch and Melchior Lengyel"; produced by Alexander Korda) starring Carole Lombard, Jack Benny, a very young Robert Stack (eternally youthful star of numerous 1940s movies, later the star of TV's "The Untouchables" and "Unsolved Mysteries"), Felix Bressart, Lionel Atwill, Stanley Ridges and Sig Ruman (German character actor of the 1930s, best remembered as the foil of many of Groucho Marx's jokes in several of the Marx Bros. movies, he slowly Americanized his name in the late 1930s, no doubt due to anti-German sentiment, but he had great success in the early 1940s playing stock German characters)
