I am a private collector of books, music & other collectible items and am very picky about what I own. I don't like surprises when I buy things from auctions any more than you do. I promise everything there is to know about this item is in this description. I also do not use any "standard grading" terms as "grading" is so subjective. Red hard cover book with black lettering on spine. Good condition. Light shelfwear to edges, corners and top and bottom of spine. Light soil and stains to covers. Slight unraveling at top of spine. Top page edges tinted red. Very light soil to bottom page edges. Slight tilt to spine. Joints are a little loose. Light yellowing/foxing to inside of covers and facing blank page. Uniform light yellowing to outside edges of pages inside. No loose pages. No bent pages. No marking in book. Test is crisp, clear, clean and very readable. Frontispiece illustration is clear and crisp and clean.
