Kanawha Glass Green Grapes and Leaves Basket Glows

This beauty was made by the Kanawha Glass Company. The company was in operation between 1957-1987. I have seen similar shaped baskets but none in this stunning green color. As with any green glass I run across, I hit it with my blacklight and was amazed to see that it glowed! So its UV reactive.
The pattern is grapes and leaves, has a nicely ruffled rim and really nice shape. Measures approx 4 1/2 in at lowest part of ruffled rim , 5 1/4 inches at its highest..including handle it measures approx 8 inches tall. It is approx 5 inches wide at between handles. There was a small rough spot at mark where handle joins basket on one side..done in manufacture..No chips , cracks etc..The basket weighs 1 lb actual weight..that is not including packing materials.A stunning vintage basket with a pleasing pattern on the glass.If your postage comes up just a bit high...its because of with the size of the basket and the packing materials to protect it properly, it will not fit into a standard priority box, so the box dimensions raised the shipping up just a bit...but its for the protection of the glass.
The Kanawha Glass Company was in Dunbar, WV and this is a handmade piece of USA glass making history!
