Besides being one of the swingingest jazz pianists around, Barry Harris has an elegant, glowing touch on the piano which is captured on this disc. The warmth of the jazz trio sound can be felt strongly here and the communication between the three musicians is not marred by an over-processed sound. "Uno Dos Tres" is a compelling beginning, making you feel that you have just walked into a jazz club where the music is cooking. "To Walter Davis Jr. With Love," a tribute to the late pianist, demonstrates the personal nature of jazz, the individuals who play it and their love for each other. "K.G." is a dedication to one of Hariss' star piano students, Kenny Gates.
