Dual builds the MXD50 marine CD receiver with clear-coated circuit boards, a rust-resistant chassis, and a UV-resistant face — this sharp-looking receiver shrugs off the corrosive effects of heat, humidity, and salt to provide many years of service.

The MXD50's built-in amplifier pumps out plenty of power to get your tunes heard over the nautical noise (18 watts RMS/45 peak x 4 channels). A sensitive AM/FM tuner does a good job of pulling in distant stations — you can even switch to European tuning for those overseas voyages! The CD deck features an anti-shock mechanism so your CDs and CD-Rs will play on rough water without skipping. Three preset EQ curves ("Classics," "Pop," and "Rock") and a loudness switch are available for quick sonic adjustments.

The rotary control and a simple button layout make it easy to control this receiver. For added entertainment options, you can connect an outboard audio source (MP3 player, iPod, etc.) to the auxiliary input. And, if you've got to have big bass out on the water, you'll also find a set of preamp outputs for connection to an amplifier/subwoofer setup.
