Movie description
Somewhere in London, Sammy (Ayub Khan Din) and Rosie (Frances Barber) get laid, but not always by each other. Rosie's radical politics land her in everyone's bed but Sammy's--but if they want to inherit Sammy's father's fortune, they'll have to come up with the grandchild he wants. However, when Sammy's father Rafi (Shashi Kapoor) shows up at their door, they learn that he has a disturbing past from which he can't escape. Meanwhile, riots take over the city and the slums of London burn in this highly innovative portrait of Thatcher-era London written and directed by the team who created MY BEAUTIFUL LAUNDRETTE.
