"POPEYE THE SAILOR MAN" PUSH BUTTON TELEPHONE WITH CORD-COM VU 1, KFS,1982. The plastic phone is an adorable likeness of Popeye sitting on a white sack and holding a giant can of "spinach".The spinach can is the part that you listen in. Below the white sack is where you speak.The phone is in very clean nice condition and fine working order.We checked it here on our home phone line through Comcast.The cord is about 3 feet long.It has the plastic clip that goes right into a standard phone receptacle.The phone is NOT cracked,broken,dirty,stained,falling apart,written on.It has a few scuffs and smudges as you would expect from age use and wear.We are not aware if there ever was a "pipe" in Popeye's mouth on this item. I could find no other examples of it to verify that. We can find no hole in his mouth to suggest that there is supposed to be a corncob pipe.If there is supposed to be one,I am sorry but there is not one present with this item.The phone is 9 1/2" high x 4 1/2" deep x 3" across the front. Item in fine collectible condition.
