Southwest cooking based on a brilliant variety of ingredients and native cooking techniques is where the cookery of Spaniards, Mexicans, and Native Americans has come together. Its popularity has traveled far beyond the borders of New Mexico and Texas.
Here in this book are the savory basics of southwestern cuisine--barbecue, tortillas, and beans--made simpler than ever--as well as original and innovative preparations, including an abundance of seafood. BETTY CROCKER'S SOUTHWEST COOKING also provides an introduction to the culinary history of the region, plus information about southwestern ingredients available in markets throughout America.
This book is in like new condition except for one thing: there is a small tear at the lower front corner (about 3/8")--looks as though it's been dropped. Otherwise the cover is shiny, intact, colorful. The dust cover is also shiny and intact. The pages are firmly bound and clean without creases, writing, highlighting, or underlining.
