The Books, and other treasures

My book selling has been a natural spin-off of my love of estate sales, thrift stores, and yard and flea market sales, searching for books for my grandsons. I’ve always loved children’s books. At first I was just getting books for the boy’s library, but then I realized there was so much out here for other people to use and enjoy. Lately I have been concentrating heavily on Bibles and other Christian and religious books. It makes me happy when I can put the Word of God in someone’s hands!

I look through every book, and note writings, tears or rips, so that I can honestly inform you, the customer. Since I do not know the books history, I cannot confirm if a book was from a smoke free source. My constant sinus problems do not detect faint odors, with the exception of mustiness. That I can pick up on right away. Thank goodness for that!

Shipping

My Post Office days are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. In most instances, your item (s), can ship within 48 hours of payment. Some of my listings will not be open to International, only because the weight appears to render the listing as cost prohibitive. If you are in another country, and wish to bid or buy, just send me an email and I’ll let you know what the shipping charge would be. Revising a listing only takes a minute or so.

Please note that I calculate shipping based on the book weight rounded up to the next pound. I weigh the books before packing, and packing materials will add many ounces. In some cases, significantly so.

Domesically books are usually sent via Media mail.  While it does add extra time, sometimes as much as 9 business days, the cost savings is significant. If you need your item quickly, please notify me before the end of the auction as to your intent. I can then provide you with a shipping quote. Another note of importance is you will always know when I have shipped an item by the date on the shipping label. I have noticed that media mail moves quite nicely, as long as it is not around Christmas time.

Internationally, I can ship books world wide via USPS International 1^st class mail, if at 4 pounds or less.  I do however, have to take a trip to the post office instead of doing the label via Paypal. For some unknown reason, that option is not available. I do charge a $1.00 handling fee for those types of transactions only.

In the event your purchase does not fit into the requirements above, it may need a Priority International Flat rate box. That charge will be posted in the shipping information of the listing.

Sale Terms and Refunds

I do my best to describe and represent each item accurately. Refunds for items grossly misrepresented will be gladly given, less shipping charges. Item(s) must be returned within 7 days, at the buyer’s expense. Item(s) must be returned in the same condition as was originally shipped. If you feel something is in error, please contact me. Communication is a wonderful thing! If you have questions, please, please, ask! I do work outside the home, so most messages cannot be answered until after 6pm CST., and I always check before going to work between 5 and 6 AM.

It is my goal to make this Ebay experience a pleasant one. As a buyer myself, I think I've learned what makes for a happy customer, and if I've done that, that is what counts.
