Film was put into production at the behest of Brandon Tartikoff, then the newly appointed head of Paramount Pictures.  When the film did poorly both critically and at the box office, Tartikoff, who had formerly worked only in TV, was lambasted for having the wrong sensibility for film. Not too long after, he left Paramount.

Additional credits: Wayne Massarelli (makeup for Lauren Bacall), Jim Scribner (Santa Claus makeup for Leslie Nielson), and Elle Elliott (hair for Lauren Bacall).

This is a wonderful family holiday VS video. It is "All I Want For Christmas" rated "G". If teenaged Ethan and his younger sister Hallie put every toy in Macy's on their Christmas list, it still wouldn't include what they want most. They want a miracle- they want thier divoriced parents back together! With lots of humor, heart and yuletide spark, All I want For Christmas is all you could want in a family film treat. Ethan Randall and Thora Birch play the siblings who come up with a hilarious plan to reunite their parents. Movie legend Lauren Becall plays the sympathetic grandmother who assists the kids. And Leslie Nielsen appears as Santa Claus. So what is the plan? HO HO HO! Aren't you in for a surprise! This is a gently viewed VHS video in the original box. A great deal for you!
