Clark Gable (1901 - 1960 ) Gable was the worlds most popular actor for 2 decades, but he would say "I can't act worth a damn". " When I die they'll put on my tombstone, He was lucky and he knew it". But Gable was wrong now years later no one has come close to replacing him. Could we think of anyone else in the role of Rhett (1939).
This started with an actual life cast mask of Clark Gable. Then it has been sculpturaly enhanced by me Erick Erickson.
The Hair, ears and eye brows have been added to create a very lifelike display.
I sculpted the eyes open showing expresion and added the costume. The head is set so it appears like he is gazing lovingly at his costar.
All of the original detail of the historic cast has been preserved.
So the work of art you get has a direct link to Clark Gable.
It's like having Rhett right there with you.

I watched The Film while I sculpted to further infuse the spirit of Clark Gable.
The finnished piece is cast in USG's Tuf-Cal gypsum cement, it is fiber filled and has polymer additves to assure it will last forever.
It measures 11.5" High X 7.25" Wide X x6" Deep.
It is aproximatly 8 pounds unpacked.
It is finished in Black and White then rubbed with an antiquing overlay to bring out the detail.
The piece is then sealed with a clear coat to preserve the finish.
Each mask comes with hanging instructions and the screw. Or it can be displayed on the optional stand.
