Unopened box of Addams Family cereal made by Ralston Purina Company. Front panel shows main cast members of 1991 movie “The Addams Family”: Anjelica Huston, Raul Julia, Christopher Lloyd and others. Box 11 ounces net weight; 9 ¾” high by 7 ½” wide by 2 ½” thick, copyright dated 1991. Backside panel has door knob hanger (done in the fashion of an antique door knob-and-skeleton-key plate) which can be cut out; this one has an eyeball peering through the keyhole and is one of three different hangers that were available. One side panel describes the cereal pieces (“And the skulls, headless dolls, and the Thing cereal pieces are as bizarre as THE ADDAMS FAMILY themselves”) and a brief description of each of the Family’s members. Box is not price marked and is in excellent condition; close-up photos available upon request. Originally available in the grocery stores for a limited time while the 1991 movie was showing; rather scarce piece of memorabilia. Besides this single box we have another 11 unopened plus 1 opened/empty of contents, available with other backside graphics, a few price marked with a felt-tip marker.
