Antique Cherry Woodgrain Metal Coffee Urn with Silver Glass Stopper & Silver Metal Handle Made by Landers Frary & Clark Dated March 13, 1917

This is a neat old 10" metal coffee urn that has a beautiful cherry woodgrain color. The lid or stopper is made of silver thick glass. Not sure if this is called mercury glass or not. The inside of the urn is the same silver color glass and the handle is a gleaming silver metal. Stamped on the silver metal of the bottom is Landers Frary & Clark Universal New Britain, Conn. U.S.A. Mar 13, 1917 Canada Mar 20, 1917. The coffee urn is in great condition for its age with no dents, cracks, or breaks. The handle is a little loose and there is a small fleabite chip or flaking off of the paint on one side(see picture). There is a spot on the other side of the urn that appears as if the paint was smeared during the painting process? Have to look close to see it. Not sure how to describe it. Not sure if orginal to the urn or not however. When you turn the urn upside down you can hear something faintly rattling around inside the glass liner & the metal. I am guessing it is possibly bits of the glass lining that are cracking or flaking off due to the urn's age of 92 years old! The mouth of the urn is a silver metal but there are tiny fleabite rust spots and blisters. This is a neat old collectible coffee urn from a bygone era.
