Vintage CHANEL Mandarin-Style Black Velvet Dress-SZ 14

Found at a Seattle estate is a vintage Chanel Creations, Paris France black velvet dress in a Mandarin style.

Let me start by saying it is very difficult to photograph black velvet.  Please be assured that the velvet is rich and black, as is the frog and buttons.

The dress is fully lined with a mandarin collar, Chinese frog/tassel decoration in front at neck.  It also features a 3 button closure on each sleeve bottom.  The rest of the dress is straight, understated and quite plain.

It is marked a size 14 and  here are the measurements:

Shoulders: 16.25"

Underarms to sleeve end: 18.25"

Bust: 21" across

Length from top of shoulder to bottom hem: 44" with a 2" hem

Excellent quality and excellent condition
