You are bidding on a handmade corn husk angel Christmas ornament.
Size: 7" to top of her head; 8 1/4" to tip of wing.
She was made in Appalachia in the mountains of SW Va. where I used to live and shop. I do not know who made it or how old it is, but it was not made in China!
Description and condition: Her head is stuffed, but I do not know what is inside. No facial features. Her dress is darker corn husk wrapped over a rolled piece of lighter corn husk and tied with a neat knot at the waist. She will not stand alone. Her dress below the sash is not stuffed. I just propped her in my Christmas tree. The darker color of her dress could be from staining it or from age. Her hair looks like corn silk to me. The halo is a twisted circle pinned to her head with a straight pin. The wings are freely cut from corn husk and tied on in back with the sash. Corn husk is brittle when dry. It is fragile material and one wing has a split in the husk that is visible in my photos. The other wing has a split about 1" that you might not be able to see in the pictures. The bottom of the skirt has a few splits in the dry husk as well, which is not uncommon. The rolled arms are clipped at an angle with a raw edge. It is clean.
Thank you for shopping. Please visit my Ebay store, too, where I have a corn husk doll listed until it sells. I will combine for shipping. If this applies to you, please request an invoice and wait to pay until I can package them together and weigh the box and send you a combined invoice. You should save a little bit of money on shipping. The dolls weigh very little, but the box required to protect them is where most of the weight is. I will recycle a box to save you a little bit of money.
Return Policy: I refund only if items are not as described.
