1977 Monogram USS CONSTITUTION Model Kit Complete

First, this is a plastic kit copyrighted 1977 by Monogram. Though I have many wooden ship models on display in my home, but one of my favorites is my plastic Cutty Sark on top of the mantelpiece. The one thing with plastic models is that you get intricate details that wooden models can't match. This model comes with molded billowing off-white sails, but I would suggest building it with no sails, as it would show off all of the rigging and would look sharp in that presentation. But hey, you can do what you want. The finished model is 16 3/16" long and molded in color. Your further detailing and custom painting skills would only increase its presentation. The mast, yard arm and hull are one piece for easy assembly. There is no rigging thread provided, but you can use black quilting thread. To be more realistic, use black thread for the standing rigging and brown thread for the running rigging (working lines). Anyway, all of the parts seem to be on their trees.
