THE SPAWN OF SATAN is a death / thrash metal band from Ohio. Features Jim Sadist on vocals (Nunslaughter, Derkéta, Hideous Mangleus, Schnauzer, All That Is Evil, From the Depths, Blood of Christ (US), Hangnail (US), Nordic Mist, etc). Other members of this band have been involved with All That Is Evil, Dead Of Night (US), From The Depths, Nunslaughter, Soulless (US), Decrepit, Mach II, Ringworm, Bloodsick, Terror (US),  Decrepit, Incantation, Mutilation (US), etc.

BLOODSICK was a death / thrash band, also from ohio...became the band now known as Soulless (US). Members of Bloodsick have also been involved with Nunslaughter, All That Is Evil, Decrepit, Soulless (US), The Spawn of Satan, Dead of Night (US), Terror (US), Incantation, Ringworm, Integrity, Mutilation (US), Decimation (US), Domestic Crisis, Schnauzer, Escalation Anger, Mortician (US), Funeral Pyre (US), Witchery (US), etc.

There isn’t anything better than a healthy dose of old school metal. That is why this album, quickly became highly prised in my record collection. Both bands on this album are delivering metal, which sets one back to the late 80’ties, that’s good. Spawn Of Satan kicks off the ball, with a great deal thrashy death metal. The style is sinister, very calm and pure depicted evil. The means are few, but very effective. Grim and hard hitting guitar riffs, a pounding bass, and a drummer who kills. The style isn’t far from the one delivered by Nunslaughter. Spawn Of Satan is Jim Sadist’s own band, though Spawn Of Satan was created in 1989, long before Jim joined Nunslaughter. Jim is doing the vocals, and he does it great. Aggressive and furious, an ugly and insistent growl. Besides that, is it possible to hear what he growls, always great.
Bloodsick is the band who has been the fundament for Soulless. Who are pounding the underground to dust, at the moment. Bloodsick is very happy about the 80’ties. This is all about thrash, and especially Kreator has made a great impression on the 5 Americans. A lot of the things Bloodsick is delivering, has already been recorded by Kreator, but who gives a f*ck? Bloodsick kicks serious ass. Though it isn’t only the German ghost who haunts, there are also scents from the early croosover scene and some Slayer-esque guitar play, noticed.  The music is solid and hard hitting, but not very original. The vocal, which is the main feature in Bloodsick, is very close to Mille Petrozza. Very good for fans of him, for others not. Personally, I really dig the vocals, in your face and f*cking aggressive, hell yeah! This album is very recommendable for all fans of old school metal, for the ones tired of all the “modern” metal. The album has 10 tracks filled with soul and love for the metal music. It can’t hardly get much more metal than this!
