This is a magnificent antique edition of "Gray's Anatomy, Descriptive & Surgical” from 1887. This classic medical textbook has been important in the study of anatomy for countless medical students and is still in print. The work was superior to other treatises on anatomy in three areas--the lucid and logical arrangement of a mass of detailed description; clear new drawings based on dissections by the surgeon-author and the artist, a physician; and sections on the surgical anatomy of defined areas. Includes a comprehensive index.

Superbly illustrated with 685 engravings in black-and-white, and color. A magnificent reference book for any M.D., nurse, surgeon or layman with an interest in anatomy/medical. These early Gray’s Anatomy are increasingly rare and sell for several hundred dollars.

CONDITION: Book is in very good condition. Intact. Lower and side edge margins of pages display minor to moderate damp staining, otherwise pages are clean & bright. No loose or brittle pages. Solid and primarily clean binding; minor damp stain to lower portions. Minor wear to spine tips and corners of covers. Hinges are solid. Not ex-library. From a smoke free home.
