Ray Dodge Company: BookendsType: Nautical Décor
Wonderful set of Nautical themed bookends by Ray Dodge Company. Ray Dodge made Oscars and Emmy Statuettes starting in 1930 and 1949, his company also made trophys, bookends and other metal items. This set is in the shape of a ships anchor with twisted rope fittings, done in a two toned brass highlights on bronze over metal. Each is 5 1/8" tall by 3 5/8" base. Felt covered bottom with paper label intact, also marked Dodge USA on each anchor side in raised relief. Very minor wear overall, lovely patina with the two tone highlighting. I see many Western style themed bookend sets but few nautical vintage themed ones by Dodge. Great addition to your library or bookend collection.
