This book is The Clue in the Diary by Carolyn Keene, 202 pages with advertisements for other book series at the end.

Copyright listed as 1932 by Grosset & Dunlap. There is no jacket, the cover is a little worn, not too bad. The back cover more than front. The spine is the most worn and spotty, a little loose.

Inside cover with orange silouettes, some staining. Inside front cover has some pencil writing in it. Could find no illustrations, frontispiece probably removed. The pages are not brittle, some spots and stains, mostly good and no tears that I saw.
