This is a beautifully painted and extremely detailed original painting simply entitled "ALICE IN WONDERLAND!" and was painted by John in the mid 1980's. It is signed in the bottom right hand corner. The painting depicts a scene from the book "Alice in Wonderland" and shows Alice following the Mad March Hare. The painting/illustration was commissioned as a computer game program and magazine cover, which is why the scene depicts a Hare and not a white rabbit, so as not to infringe any copyrights!

This is a very rare painting indeed, because it is signed "John Higginbotham", which was the artists original name before it was changed in 1994!

FOUND RECENTLY WHILE TIDYING HIS ATTIC and has never been seen by anyone UNTIL NOW! Whoever wins this will treasure this painting forever! This is one of the artists (John Silver) favourite paintings and he is extremely reluctant to part with this!

Note: John was one of the top airbrush artists during this time period (Late 1980's) and was one of the very last photo retouchers who did photographic retouching manually (by hand, on the actual photo!) before computers made it so much easier! John was trained to use an airbrush for extremely fine detail to create photorealistic effects. This painting would therefore be a very rare acquisition indeed!

This is an original signed painting and NOT a print and is a "one off" (one only).

Would appeal to any fantasy art lovers or collectors of Alice in Wonderland memorabilia!

The outside of the mount/mat is approximately: 13 x 11 inches and the actual painting size is 9 x 7 inches and is supplied unframed.
