This listing is for a beautiful classic Chanel jacket. The jacket has 2 vertical slash pockets at hip,and one at upper right, just below the shoulder,(see photo, Ines de la Fressange has a crisp white hanky in it for flare!) This is a very classic and minimalist jacket...cut like a blazer, but without lapels. For luxury it has a neat wool gingham like check (called carre de something in French)lining the inside of the edges...usually the trim is on the exterior, but here it is concealed for charm and interest. This was modelled by the most famous Chanel model, the aristocrat Ines de la Fressange, who now works as consultant for Roger Vivier. Because this jacket is so simple, it is lots of fun to add accessories such as the camelia and necklaces (in photos for demonstration purposes only, not included in this auction). This has heavier gold chain at hem, not for decoration as many are, but more substantial, causing the jacket to hang well, in the way that Coco Chanel herself used them. The Size tag is "44." Please check the actual measurements of the jacket carefully. Measurements are: bust 38", hip/waist 36",shoulder to shoulder 18", sleeves 22 1/2" (23 1/2), with cream faux cuffs, length of jacket 27 1/2" from collar seam. Jacket is in excellent condition free of stains, damage or wear (one tiny, faint, blurred spot on one cuff...simple to clean. It is clean and ready to wear. It has 9 beautiful Coco Chanel coin buttons, with profile of Chanel on them. This is a wonderful, classic Chanel jacket, with historic documentation in the Chanel catalog and fashion magazines of the year 1986. This would be a wonderful, and very useful addition to a prestige designer wardrobe. Please e-mail with questions.
