A classic parody of Australian bureaucratic culture, our bungling committee - with comic legend John Clarke at the helm - have to deal with a 100 metres running track that is several metres short of the mark; over zealous sponsorship opportunities from tobacco companies; and a sex-change athlete - do they run in the men’s or women’s events? John Clarke brilliantly plays the prickly team leader, prone to bone-dry quips, dirty tricks and scathing remarks; Gina Riley is the acerbic head of Games PR; while Bryan Dawe plays the quietly flustered money man with his eyes on the bottom line.
