Dolly Dingle Billie Bumps Let Me Call You Sweetheart!

This is a limited edition, hand numbered Dolly Dingle "Billie Bumps" doll designed by Bette Ball for Goebel. Dated 1993, Billie is 15" tall, with porcelain head, arms and legs. He was issued to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the DOTY (Doll of The Year) Dolly Dingle dolls (1913-1993). He is dressed in the usual fine fabrics and workmanship Bette's dolls are known for. Colorful cotton prints, snap closures. He wears red and white lace-up sneakers and features oversized 'specs.' There is a little tag in the outfit for a personalized presentation and date (see picture). Billie is a musical doll (winding stem on back side) and his music box plays "Let Me Call You Sweetheart." He comes in his original box with Certificate of Authenticity and hangtag. He is in mint condition - does not appear to have been displayed. I noticed a red satin ribbon tied to his left hand with a bow. I don't know if there was something he had attached to it or if it is supposed to be positioned differently, but I pictured it for you to decide. Billie sits as well as he stands, because Bette's designs saw to it the legs bent nicely if someone wished to pose the dolls in a seated position. He does come with a stand if you want him displayed standing. The box has a number written on it - otherwise excellent condition. If you are interested, we have two other Dolly Dingle dolls listed!

We are a smoke-free home. Our two miniature poodles don't bother our stuff despite the fact that one of them is a little shifty-eyed!
PLEASE don't go through checkout! To insure that you receive the best possible shipping cost and accurate, total, we will send an invoice shortly after the auction ends.
We add virtually nothing for handling - 50 cents - for materials, time and fuel. The rates shown in our listings are determined by USPS and UPS, based on package size, weight and destination in relation to the State of Virginia. And yes, they are bad enough with recent rate increases by all carriers. From what I observe in reviewing other sellers' feedback, many eBay buyers seem to feel that the cost they pay for shipping is too high and thus rate sellers' Shipping and Handling star accordingly. I believe that many people do not realize what the actual current shipping rates are, as well as the restrictions, options related to package size, weight and DESTINATION. USPS has changed their standard package dimensions in conjunction with their last rate increases. As a result, many packages which USED to be standard size are now OVERSIZE and cost extra to ship (packages exceeding an average of 12x12x12 are now considered oversize). A few sellers DO overcharge on shipping, but most do not. PLEASE take this into consideration when you post feedback.
