GI Combat is a real-time strategy game set in World War II. The game is fully 3D with detailed terrain, armor penetration, vehicle movement and weapon fire. In GI Combat, the player has the chance to rewrite history and live in the moment through tactical combat. The game features hypothetical missions beginning at D-Day and continuing through Patton's breakout from the Normandy beachhead.

The most realistic 3D environment in any game the maps are drawn from the actual terrain of normandy ; detailed psychological model with 8 different psychological states; highly detailed individual soldier models ; lead either american or german troops through enemy bombardments command a small squad to infiltrate an enemy outpost or jump into the trenches with a single steadfast GI; outfit your company with renowned weapons such as the MP 40 or the Thompson and shell your opponent with tanks and artillery including the jumbo sherman the Mark V Panther or the dreaded german 88; historically detailed campaign set in normandy June 1944; dozens of historical and hypothetical scenarios beginning at D Day, and carrying through Pattons breakout during operation cobra; accurate physics model for weapons and armor penetration; meticulous terrain models based on topographical maps of the actual landscape recreate the blood soaked battlefields fought on by our ancestors; 60 Different squad types.
